Richard Ndayishimiye Reaches Final Decision as APR FC Targets Ivorian Attacking Reinforcemen

Although the 2025/26 Rwanda Premier League season ended only a few days ago, many clubs have already begun rebuilding their squads and planning for the upcoming campaign.

Latest reports indicate that Ndayishimiye Richard, a Rwandan player of Burundian origin, has agreed to extend his stay at Rayon Sports following negotiations that had been ongoing for some time.

The midfielder has spent the last two years with Rayon Sports after joining from Muhazi United. Earlier this year, he traveled to Uzbekistan in search of new opportunities, but the move did not materialize, prompting his return to the club.

Meanwhile, APR FC is reportedly in talks to sign Amani Kouadio Kan Michel Breygeneve, an attacking winger from  Ivory Coast. According to sources close to the transfer market, the Rwanda Defence Force-backed club is keen on bringing the 27-year-old to Kigali.

Breygeneve currently plays for AFAD Plateau and has previously been linked with several prominent East African clubs, including Tanzania’s Young Africans SC.

Police FC is also active in the transfer market. Reports suggest the club has prepared an offer worth RWF 15 million to persuade defender Ishimwe Christian to sign a new two-year contract.

Ishimwe has recently been linked with a move to Rayon Sports, while APR FC is also said to be interested in him as a potential solution for the left-back position.

Following the departure of six foreign players, Police FC has adjusted its recruitment strategy and is now focusing primarily on players who have already proven themselves in the Rwandan league.

With the transfer window beginning to heat up, the coming weeks are expected to bring significant developments as clubs strengthen their squads ahead of the new season.
