Billboard: Taylor Swift breaks silence after Beyonce named No.1

Taylor Swift, who recently won second place, said that she considers Beyoncé as a legend and therefore accepted the results of Billboard that named her as number one (1) artist in the genre of 'pop' in the debate executed on Tuesday evening, December 3rd, 2024.

A close friend of 34-years-old Taylor Swift told 'Page Six' that the singer agrees with Billboard's ranking of 43-years-old Beyoncé as the number one pop artist.

"Taylor Swift always praises an artist who works hard and shows the difference and thinks Beyoncé deserves that honor," a close friend denounced.

While some of Taylor's fans were upset that their singer was not named number one, Taylor thanked them and insisted that Beyoncé deserved it.

"Taylor Swift is proud of the incredible love she is getting from her fans worldwide (her fans are known as Swifties), thanking them for showing her and listening to her music. She believes that Beyoncé is one of the most talented singers out there. She was also happy to be defeated and made second," a close friend added.

That close friend concluded by saying that Taylor Swift doesn't care about what some say about her, she is proud of what she has already achieved and how she continues to present her music.

When Billboard announced that Beyoncé was the number one pop artist, there was a lot of debate, with some saying that Taylor Swift deserved the top spot. The company announced that their group analyzed the whole 25 years and found Beyoncé was more revolutionary than Taylor Swift.

"While Taylor Swift is the biggest artist of the 21st century in terms of numbers, Beyoncé has been the frontrunner in the 21st century who brought impact, influence, and revolution in pop music during the past  25 years ago (that's the first years of the 21st century)," Billboard published.

Beyoncé, who started her music career in the group 'Destiny's Child' and later became a solo artist, made history by becoming the first artist to win 32 Grammy Awards. With the help of her new album 'Cowboy Carter' she became the first artist to become the most nominated artist in Grammy Awards as many as 11 noms. Next year's will be presented in February 2025.
