Israel and UAE Strengthen Ties as Iran Conflict Reshapes Regional Alliances

Two official Israeli delegations are scheduled to visit the UAE next week. One delegation will focus on trade and investment opportunities, while the other is expected to discuss regional security cooperation and strategic partnerships.

The visit will mark the first publicly acknowledged Israeli government mission to the UAE since the outbreak of the Israel-Iran conflict, highlighting the growing cooperation between the two countries amid regional instability.

Reports suggest that Israel and the UAE have expanded intelligence-sharing efforts and increased coordination on air defense and security matters. Although Emirati authorities have not publicly confirmed military cooperation details, both sides appear committed to strengthening their strategic relationship.

Economic discussions are also expected to focus on the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC), a major initiative designed to enhance trade connectivity between Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.

Analysts say the Iran crisis has become a major test for the Abraham Accords, signed in 2020, but has simultaneously pushed Israel and the UAE closer together.

While the United States continues encouraging more regional countries to join the Abraham Accords, Saudi Arabia maintains that any normalization with Israel must be linked to a clear pathway toward the establishment of a Palestinian state.
